Jeff, that could work but we have a much better gadget made by a friend of ours, Hans Brouwer who may still be reading this list so he may chime in. What it is, is a wooden rack made from two side pieces and cross bars made of dowels. This is as wide as the bed and stores right in front of the bed when it's folded up and top down. It can be slid forward to fill the space between the end of the bed and the front. We don't have any small kids any longer except when we are with the grandkids so we use it now as a rack to hang towels and wet laundry on by propping it up vertically at the very front of the pop-top near the front window. Hope this all makes sense as I find it hard to explain and I do not have any photos handy. Next time I have the top up, I should take some pics. It's quite a useful gadget as we also use it to store our pillows on top of it in front of the bed when it's closed up and top down.
