Jim, et al

Only 3 hours huh.. wow pretty good, I've spent days/weeks at times trying to find the best solution for each mousetrap.

We've done quite a few conversions and finally settled on using Bulk Bicycle cable housing with 1/16" SS marine rigging line Both are actually quite cheap on Fleabay. And I use the ferrules and rubber seals (noodles) with great professional feeling results For crimps the cheapest are for Snare traps quite small and good bulk pricing. Sometimes depending on the throttle arm I back it up with a SS rivet washer. I've also used the body of a SS rivet crimped to the cable, just use pliers to remove the rivet pin. http://www.ebay.com/sch/Sporting-Goods-/888/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=bicycle+cable+housing

we used to use off the shelf hardware cable & plastic tubing but that creates a lot of drag. The Bike housing is like butter.

For our automatic van we made a bracket for the front by the pedal. Then used 2 cables. One to the Trans for kickdown and one to the engine throttle. You can use bicycle cable adjusters in the bracket to take up the little slack. But the kickdown isn't that sensitive. To hook the 2 cables to the pedal pivot in the front there's a nice unit made for BSA/Triumph motorcycles http://www.ebay.com/sch/6000/i.html?_nkw=BSA+cable+end&_vxp=mtr&_rdc=2

Throttle cable. I spend 3 hours searching the Internet looking for = throttle cable material before I stumbled on a Chevy engine swap site = that mentioned Home Depot. 1/16=E2=80=9D diameter, 9 strand twisted into = one cable, itty bitty wire rope. Stranded wire comes in two = configurations. 1x9 & 7x7 IIRC. 1x9 is what you want. Home Depot has it. = $0.27/ft.
