Subject: Manual Trans Gear Oil ??
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

So during my clutch project I had planned on also replacing the gear oil in the trans. Well, I did not do it because I have seen many sources that say use GL-4 only and do not use GL-5 or the GL-4/GL-5 combination.

So here is my question - assuming that information is accurate (and I believe it is based on the sources) - where in the HECK does one find GL-4 gear oil???? I have looked everywhere locally and all I can find (FLAPS and small places alike) are either GL-5 only or the GL-4/GL-5 combination.

Thanks,
