I have been looking for a 3A for a while and they are rare to non-existent near me as best I can tell. The only ones I have found were early ones and very high mileage. The early ones have unique pistons and rings that are costly. Later ones share ABA parts AFAIK.

Used in the small Audi car for 2-3 years? They are far from being a common engine. Still have my eye out though.
