Thanks, Matt. That is the sort of feedback I was hoping to get. I'm only wanting to install these on the back of my 16" Doka. I have the SA spring spacers which add about 1.5"-2.0". The 16" shocks are the same as the ones on the 14". The only difference is stiffness.

I do have a pair of Burley's upper control arms and a set of Syncro.org springs from circa 2000. I plan on installing OME's which came with the springs unless I strike a deal on a front set of the SA shocks.

Ironically, I bought two sets of the SA shocks when they were new. But other things going on at the time cause me to sell them. Then now this $40 pair of fairly new looking rear shocks reared their head and BAMM, I got this dilemma.

They were too long for 14" syncro, so the front control arms would slip past the spring, making a nasty sound, plus likely putting some weird angles/torque on the CVs. When the rears were unloaded, the springs were loose enough to rattle around, but didn't manage to actually come out. By the way, this was with syncro.org (c. 2000) springs on a westy. > > And yes, they were very stiff and a bitch to install. I'm now running OMEs and they are great. > > are 16" shocks longer? If so, then i bet these would be perfect (and stiff). > > -matt > > ---
