Pedernales state park near Johnson City, as well as LBJ Related national parks within 20 miles all are cool. Enchanted Rock SP is within 50 miles. Ladies like the Fredrickburgh, Tx kinda neat old German town. Winery tours are all over this area, most are free. If you are in the area and have problems I have a fairly complete VW shop at my house too.

Good luck and if you like come visit. David & Kim
