Hi all. The pull only happens when braking hard (nose dive hard) at highway speeds. Howard: I don't have a great space to work in right now hence the trip to the shop. Regardless, I may be able to check two wheels at a time. Maybe even make a video of each set. (I don't have a reliable helper I trust) The parts in question have relatively low miles and are only a few years old so there shouldn't be any corrosion, split boots etc. But..... Making assumptions isn't a good idea! Still. If it's caliper-hose replacement time, a big brake kit, or later style Vanagon brakes make a lot of sense. These old style Girling-Teves calipers must be pretty long in the tooth. I've been charged very little for these inspections. The pull is not drastic. With hands on the wheel, it's not that noticeable and is easy to control. However. The cause of this pull should be found. As a side note, I'm really beginning to see that I need a proper space to do my Vanagon work in is almost a pre requisite to Vanagon ownership! ;) Neil.
