re the daughter and being a new driver etc..
in addition to my other comments I would suggest her keeping a Driver's
Log for a while..
just like a pilot's log book ..
date, time and place driven, notable events on the trip ..etc.
and keep track of total hours.
Even set goals and requirements..
say 30 hours total driving time before drivingat night, or whatever.

do that for a half year at least..
she'll treasure that log book someday likely too.

have some half-decent father-daughter time as well...and she'll really
treasure that log someday.
