The Mobil 1, 15w-50 is one of the better oil choices out there. While it is somewhat more expensive the extended life and wear protection is more than worth the difference, especially if you use good filters (oil and air) to keep it clean. If you go to a non-synthetic you should use a 20w-50 for most weather conditions. The Mobil 1 15w-50 is a high ZDDP oil for older flat tappet engines (if you believe in that need). For normal use oil testing has shown that it is good for 7,500 mile drain intervals.
