In my opinion the Mobil 1 is superior. I have been a user since the early 80's For all the cars and miles using I have never had to replace an engine. Again Fun Bus now has over 256k and the engine is all original, even the head gaskets. I have other customers at well over 200k. Yes some have had head work but the bottom end is still there. When you think of the cost if doing it yourself the Mobil 1 change with a high end filter is less than a full tank of fuel.

I'm wondering that too. Thats why I asked the original question. My wife and I will be doing fairly short camping trips so I estimate we will drive one oil change a year if we use Mobile 1. Even though it is more expensive one oil change a year is not so bad overall. On the other hand if the Castrol 20W50 is better as far as engine longevity I would switch. I guess that is my question. Which is better for engine longevity or are they both the same.
