Well…….just to be contrary, I have one that I got from the Bus Depot maybe some 10 or 15 years ago, it's grey and it came with no snaps in the material so that the snaps could be located in the material to line up with snaps that may have been already in place or you could install both sides of the snaps as you wish. I think Ron had these made up locally at that time. Now I think the ones he has are coming from Gunzl Classic Parts as I have and many other vendors have. These are original Westfalia design and come with the snaps already in the material, not so good for the folks with vans that someone put snaps in and they won't lime up with Westfalia's snap pattern. They all have a zipper down the middle, good & bad. When you walk up to door with arms full of stuff you will need two hands to open the zipper. Only one hand is needed to close it. The ones I used to sell from the woman in Quebec used magnets and a 6" overlap to close the curtain and you could just walk through by pushing your way in and out. However, they did not seal up as well around the edges as do the old snapped ones from the Bus Depot or new snapped ones from Gunzl. Now all that BS aside I have had this screen on my van for maybe 15 years and yes the zipper pull has broken and been replaced once and the snaps may come off due to corrosion or they were not seated well to begin with. However, all in all that screen has paid it's way a long, long time ago and it does keep the little critters out, as we have tested it all over North America in all sorts of unimaginable conditions. Those of you who know me, know very well of the 700,000 kms on my Westy and where I've been with it if you've ever read any of my Blogs. AND, Karl, if you wait I will try to get pics of my install this weekend while at the Quebec Club Grande Rendezvous in Wickham, QC and sent along via an email as I'm presuming this is the screen you have.
