Good point, and in my last install I used a longer VDO hose that is NLA to do that. This is a steel braded hose, and the VDO sender is pretty tough (note it points to the rear so the plastic top is facing back), but maybe it's not a great location for off-roading. Maybe the folks at Van Café can make up a longer one. I don't plan on having this on the WBX for more than 3000 miles on paved roads this summer before the Subaru goes in.
