The aftermarket pipes usually don't line up. The syncros use different brackets and the left one will have the two holes for that support.

Hi,

I'm puzzled about where the little (rust inducing) bracket that is clamped onto the rear cross pipe attaches to the muffler bracket/engine mount.

The bracket is slightly different than the 2wd version. Instead of a V notch and two holes that line up with the holes for the muffler bracket, the 4wd bracket does not have a v-notch and the holes do not seem to line up with the muffler bracket.

ETKA diagram not really helpful, looks like it is supposed to bolt to the muffler bracket/engine mount, but via only one of the two holes in the bracket. But it is not that clear in the diagram. And besides, when I try it the ETKA way the bracket presses against one of the engine mount rubber blocks.

BTW, this is on the lefthand side muffler mount, I believe I am correct that the bracket goes on that one, not the right hand side.

Am I over looking the obvious? Anyone with any pics?

thanks

alistair
