While I have only experience with 2wd, the Dennis Haynes Hitch is "da
bomb", none better IMHO. Installed one on an 87 Panel Vanagon of my buddy
Cliff (van bought from BenT in fact a few years back). Very robust, he's
towed a Beetle behind it (short distances). Some day when I've got the
time, I'll install the extra one I bought on my 84 Westy.
