Super write up on this Dennis. Thanks. I meant Idle control valve, sorry. It is buzzing even if I take the key out. No wonder the battery goes down. Strange. I can't even start to think where the fault maybe. Maybe the ignition switch? That buzzing thing in the center of the idle is the idle control valve. It is an engineered add on to compensate for O2 sensor mixture changes, warm up fast idle, and varying loads. The controller is located in front of the passenger side tail light. It shares the temp 2 sensor with the ECU for warm up idle and it also has inputs for power steering pressure and the AC compressor. It get power when the ignition switch is turned on. Something is going on, because it also won’t start now. I hope, I don’t have something strange. Anyone? Z |
