Owning both an 82 scirocco and the 85 vanagon and having gone thru a move less than a year ago, all I can say us get creative. I found space everywhere I could. It was a goo time to so inventory and try to catalog parts in an organized fashion. It was easier on the move a storage process. Plastic bins or those banker type boxes made good storage for smaller parts.

My extra large parts was a different story. 2 engines, fenders, doors, hatch , and complete + 2 extra front seats (red plaid) interior for the scirocco took a little ingenuity. But it got done and I'm happy to have it all.

The vanagon has maintenance parts and things that fit in said boxes. I would not get rid of this things of you could help it

My .02 cents El t.
