Ok. There is NO DIFFERENCE between the rear bumper brackets or their mounting points, 2wd or 4wd. I move my hitch equipped bumpers between vans of both types, just by removing the big bolts that hold the mounts to the inner frame rails of the vans.

I don't care very much for the tow loop mounted hitches but they work fine and the loops are stout enough in practice. The only loop failures I have heard of were from people who mounted cargo trays or bike racks on hitches that attached only to the loops. Over a long period of time it seems the bouncing loads can fatigue the loops. Many people have done that with no issue but occasionally there is an issue.
