A modicum of research shows the 1.7 cubic foot unit Jim mentioned uses
about 90W. Say 8 amps plus some for the inverter losses. Certainly do-able
for some period of time, dependent upon the duty cycle. It may not be super
efficient but it would work.
A hard-wired inverter would be best.
