Jason, et al : the jewel in the crown of the Adirondacks is The Great Sacandaga Lake. water management/flood control project of the last century. biggest dam thing of it's kind. the new bridge is a nice drive with a view. enjoy your travels !      mike - Broadalbin end of lake ________________________________ From: Jason <uberhare@GMAIL.COM> To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Sent: Monday, June 10, 2013 8:55 PM Subject: Heading East (NY, VT, ME) We are planning to take a road trip with our Westy (the bigger one) through upper NY, VT and Maine.  We'll be crossing from Ontario into NY just past Kingston, heading down through the Adirondacks.  Then we'll head east all the way to the coast.  We want to end up at the West River Westies campout as our last stop before heading home.  Then we'll bee line across the NYS thruway back into Ontario on the Sunday. Any suggestions for things to see would be appreciated.  We've never traveled this area before, it should be a good trip.  Any list members in the area who'd like to meet up contact me off the list.  We have a very open itinerary (other than the campout) so please forward any suggestions for us to see!
