I like going across around Prescott, there are some nice campgrounds along the south side of the St. Lawrence as you head east in NY. And it's usually a quick crossing. Perhaps across the top of NY in one direction and through the heart of the Adirondack's the other way? They are beautiful, I have enjoyed hiking and camping in the area around Whiteface. A trip around the bottom of Lake Champlain is nice. Lots of great little towns to visit.

Anyone in the bus into baking? King Arthur Flour in Norwich VT is a must if there is. I hear Groton SP in VT is nice too. I've only ever gone across the middle of NH, love the terrain!

Sunrise and sunset at Bar Harbour is spectacular, find some nice spot and enjoy. No shortage of great places but I've only gotten out there once. I'm told there are some amazing camp spots away from the main tourist areas so keep asking. Hopefully someone will share their secret spots with you in a private email :)

Discount shopping around the East Conway area if you need something. And Old Towne canoes as well as Mad River canoes can found out that way for a good price if you're looking for one.

I'll second the comments about mico-breweries! http://nextchapter.kraikerphoto.com/2012/07/onward-from-mont-sainte-anne-part-1.html

Include Smugglers Notch up by Stowe VT, but beware! http://nextchapter.kraikerphoto.com/2012/10/kingdom-trails-2012.html
