Jason & Angie, If you make it to the Camden area be sure to stop in Rockland on the way by - an up an coming art centre in Maine. There are at least 5 wineries in the area. There are many top notch restaurants in the area as well as day sailing ships from Rockland, Rockport, Camden and Belfast. I'm a 30+ year resident of the midcoast Maine area and IMHO Camden is over rated although the Camden Hills State Park is well worth a visit. I'd also recommend Belfast, more art, a great brew pub (Three Tides  http://www.3tides.com/ ) on the harbour. If you happen to need some mechanical work - The Beetle Shop on Route 1 in Belfast is worth a stop. If you'd like drop me a line, if I'm not on the road I can offer a spot to camp on Stevens Pond in Liberty. There are many places to "quietly camp" in the area - get in touch and I'll fill you in. Dake PS - On your way through Ontario - if you go by Napanee say hello for me - I miss that place. ________________________________ From: Jason <uberhare@GMAIL.COM> To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Sent: Tuesday, June 11, 2013 9:21 PM Subject: Re: Heading East (NY, VT, ME) Thank everyone for their great ideas so far!  We only have 17 days, so I'm not sure if we'l make it all the way to Acadia.  Might have to save that for next year.  We're going to head as far as Camden for sure.  Looking at heading through White Mountain. I've sent all your recommends to the trip planner (aka wife).  She's looking though them all. Angie and I definitely enjoy good wine!  Micro brew's sound like a good afternoon too.  I enjoy a good proper beer. Does anyone know good camping sites or site seeing near White Mnt. National Forest on our way through?  We prefer campgrounds that are a bit more scenic and less RV like.  (Despite the fact our LT Westy is 10 feet tall!)   Quaint, less touristy is better.  We love the Ocean as well.  Our children are 13 & 15.  Anything they would enjoy would be great too. I'll keep a list of everyone's location & email in case we end up close. Feel free to PM me your contact info, might be good to have in case of emergency. Thanks, Jason & Angie 83 Westy 90 LT Florida
