I saw that ad too. Much cajoling amongst friends to buy and flip :)

I have not seen the van in person but have seen a few get away van conversions. One was a syncro, 88/89?, bought out here by a Toronto chap and we met on his small tour of the west coast. From looking at his van, and the pics in the ad referenced, I'm coming to the conclusion that GAV (get away van) bought stripped down vans for the conversion. There was no, I mean no, sound proofing in front and sliding doors, full rubber mat in front, over bare metal floor. Plain steering wheel, clock, no tach. Notice the number of columns on the odometer (pics in ad).

The quality fo the GAV interior is a definite level below a westy. No where near as nicely finished nor made of the same material. Big atwood furnace (and attendant vent on body), I think it was an electrolux propane fridge.

The van in the ad, assuming no bad rust, would make a great start for a really nice van. The price is very good.
