Just in case anyone is interested:

My petition has been granted by the NHTSA, so.

1991 model Transporters are now eligible to be imported into the USA.

The only objection was made by some lawyer in Texas who stated:

"We don't need any more used cars in this country. Also, if they didn't comply with our regulations, they certainly should not be allowed in this country. Also, we should promote the purchase of American Made cars."
