My duct work fell when going ripping down the interstate. Hit a bump and down it came. Scared the bejeebers out of me. VW had a safety recall on this which has long since expired. I didn't like the fix. To unhandy. So I changed it and put mine back up with straps that wrap the two main joints. Works. Doesn't look to bad. Besides - I'm ther only one that drives it - so who cares so long as it works. I'm picky, but not nit-picky. Worked for me.
