I too have the lovely brown carpet in my Westy, & have installed the entire Go Westy rubber mat sets, 3 in front, 1 in the middle & 1 in the rear. These are heavy duty rubber w/ dimples that contain spills & keep them from traveling to far. They are fabricated to fit almost perfectly to cover the desired location-no cutting/fitting, etc. required. They have saved numerous coffee spills, etc. not to mention made it easy to clean by simply sweeping out, or removing & hosing down as necessary. It gives the entire floor area a uniform, VW Vanagon-ish look, similar to the rubber mats that come in Euro VW Trucks, etc. The rear pad sits on top of the westy bed pad when needed to put dirty junk back there, & under the pad when not needed for UV protection or sleeping.

Not the cheapest solution, but definitely a great one for maintenance of a well used camper in all conditions, & they protect the lovely brown carpeting from the elements.

YMMV,

Mr. BZ-Lucas, please send endorsement royalties to my fave charities?
