Lots of discussion about this lately but in my '87 Westy, we removed the A/C plenum over the back seat so it is the same as a passenger van without the ceiling A/C tunnel duct, and even with the cheapo R134A FLAPS conversion, we stay cool up front. The dog in back hasn't said anything yet.
