ALL VW Vans have traditionallyhad access to dipstick, oil filler, and a quick check of fan belt , and coolant overflow bottles where applicable, since god invented VW rear engine vans in about 1949 or whatever it was. VW does really have a long 'flow' of tradition in many things about their vans and other vehicles.. like if you are basically familiar with any version.. other versions, even with 30 years between, will be fairly familiaras well. VW is great that way. Know one, you kinda know them all .
