Along with the "BEEP" feature, a backlit display might be useful. Picture checking something roadside, on your Vanagon, at night. My most recent meter purchase has a backlit display but no audio continuity check. On that note..... Of the same brand meter (re-brands I assume), between the one purchased ~ 5 years ago and the same brand purchased this year, I've noticed a real decline in the feel of quality. Especially on the rotary switch. Good used Fluke maybe? Neil.
