Yes. He was the chief executive of the company that built the ill fated vehicle. It sold so poorly, that the company even enlisted Sears as a dealer, but Sears insisted on attaching its own name, Allstate, to the vehicle. My brother had one under that name, too.
They were in some way involved with Wyllis I believe. My father had one of those. There were Wyllis vehicles other than Jeeps.
