Subject: removing NA/dipstick
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Having just done an AAZ transplant, here's my low tech solution: Once the AAZ was in I stuck a piece of stiff wire (welding rod) down the engine's dipstick hole till it hit bottom. Marked the rod at the top of the dipstick receptacle, measured length (?17") and width of receptacle (?5/8") Thus armed I went to our local wreckers & wandered amongst the Japanese wrecks till I found a stick that matched. With the enigne filled and run to fill the oil filter I punched the new dipstick to give me an index mark. I used the AAZ dispstick in the rear filler; the cap needs to be drilled out to accept it. Hope this helps, David
