Wear well, reasonable tread for gravel roads as well as pavement. They passable for rain (I haven't driven in real snow so I can't speak to that). They are fairly noisy, and I didn't like the feel in heavy winds but I don't expect the Vanco2 will be much better (i.e. I don't blame the tires). I would put another set on, but I found the Vanco2 for about $100 ea at a local shop so I went with those. > > Mine did develop a "bump bump bump" that was either a problem with a belt or a flat spot from sitting too much. > > Regards, Peter Kraiker > nextchapter.kraikerphoto.com > Toronto, ON, Canada > '82 L Westfalia 1.9 TD 5 Spd (Babe) > > > > > > On 2013-06-17, at 1:12 PM, Dave Mcneely <mcneely4@COX.NET> wrote: > >> Does anyone know anything about or have any experience with Nexen tires, and particularly this one, the Nexen SV820? There are little to no wind issues with this set up even when I have kayaks or canoes on top of the van. The tires ride like a load Range D tire would on a 4k# van.......like a truck. Their load number is like 109. I'll prolly get 80k+ out of them, but will find a softer tire the next time around. Not sure if the same size Vanco 1's(load range C?) are suitable or not, but unless I'm hauling all my flea market tools and tables etc. the van rides way too rough with those Vanco II tires. YMMV
