I have a number of small devices that use 12VDC wall warts, and I've done the same.

But remember that those devices may require more closely regulated 12VDC than our vans provide.

When a device that comes with a cigarette lighter plug, that's a strong clue that it can handle 10.5-14.2VDC that it may encounter in a car.

But when a device only comes with a 12VDC wall wart, it may not tolerate such a range. It may work poorly. It may even be damaged.

Loren, if you and Larry report that charger works well and stays healthy when powered by a cigarette lighter in your vans, that saves the rest of us from worrying.

Each new such device, somebody has to be the test pilot!
