I got a really neat little compact one from Radio Shack. About the size and shape of an android phone with a lid that folds right back at 180 degrees. The probes/leads don't fit inside without some fiddling but the small size and relatively robust case make it perfect to fit in to my on-board tool box, which is quite small and full of 'stuff' The leads are pretty short, too...but I also have some test wires in my box that can be clipped on to reach further terminals..

It's marked "22-810" Radio Shack number. Has lasted me a couple of years now, just tossed in, loose, with lots of wrenches, pliers, sockets, etc. in my tacklebox tool kit...The box that also gets pawed-through with greasy fingers, spilled, filled with sand and left open sometimes in the rain or kicked onto the floor....

I have a 'nicer' one in my home shop...but the R.S. one gets the job done on our 2month winter outings.
