If any of you recall I recently had some troubles with Gertie. The end result was a "new" ECU and some other adjustments (timing was advanced and idle was high). I also istalled a "new" exhaust fromt he J-Pipe back. I'm noticing since the new ECU is in she has a bit of a different "personality" as far as how she runs - mostly nothing bad just a different feel - that could be me who knows. I am noticing however that there is a bit of a weak/lack of power right around the 2k RPM area - no matter what gear I am in. I never felt that before the ECU change. What actually comes to mind is that it's not the ECU at all but maybe the AFM - but I am not basing that on anything but hunch. It's not terrible - no chugging or bucking - but there is a noticeable "bogginess" - everything feels fine at the 1800 mark and at the 21oo mark - it's just that small little sliver artound 2k that I feel it. Any ideas? Thanks, Jeff '85 GL (Gertie) '78 Bus (Melissa) Patty's Bus |
