I used drill rod, nuts/washers and an old socket (to bump up against the inner sleeve of bushing) for lower control arm bushing R&R. For the upper arms, piece of plate steel to back up vice jaw, various pipe bits, worked fine in my vice for R&R. You need a vice large enough to accommodate all parts concerned. IIRC, mine is a 7". I can't recall the brand, but on the upper arm bushings I bought, the OD was a two step affair. (smaller to larger) I assume this is done to help keep the bushing straight while pressing it in.
