Some questions.  What were the signs/symptoms that made you replace the head gaskets, and why was the engine pulled in the first place?  Was the engine blowing oil before the gasket change and engine pull?  Have you looked at issues such as compression test, etc   In terms of smoke are we talking oil fumes or white (water)?  What is the history of the engine, number of mi/Km and any previous major system repair?

I am sure the engine experts will have more to say......
