I don't use any of this stuff. Over the years I have seen many engines lost to cleaners. If the engine is so crudded up that cleaning is necessary it is probably on its way out anyway. With the water boxer you need to be real careful. If a bunch of stuff is suddenly loosened up and blocks the oil pump inlet you mow have an immediate overhaul opportunity since you can't get to the screen without splitting the case.
