I have been told the trick is to alternate every 1 or 2 nights in the Vanagon and one night in a motel that has real showers and where you can sleep on a bed and have toilets that flush. Also make sure that you take more than your fair shair of cooking and cleaning up. Find out what bugs her the most and try to accommodate. It may mean getting one of those portable toilets, and making sure you take care of things in the morning. If motels are not your thing, how about bed & breakfast? It is still nice driving the Vanagon and using it for lunch and picnic stops. Your thoughts? I still enjoy camping in it and the several road trips that I take a year and I am 67. I was just wondering how common a situation this is? Are there many people over 70 on the road in their Vanagon and enjoying themselves alone or with partner? Thanks Bernie Vancouver
