I wouldn't do that myself.. but if I wanted a 'shift tightening up' additive I'd put in Trans-X.

in any case ..you are probably on borrowed time. and besides.. in transmission issues, when they are old and have symptoms.. sometimes, the longer you wait, the more expensive , or even impossible to do, the rebuild is.

Used ones are risky too, unless you see them driving nicelyfirst. Even left to sit a long time..a tired old one that was working may not when tried again.BTDT.

I could use btw....good working used transmissions ... one good auto for an 86. one good DK. a good waterboxer 4 speed.

I just took an auto trans core to German Transaxle recently ... it was pretty much not a rebuildable core - an expensive propositionfor sure.
