Many of my customers are retirees. I fondly remember a couple who stopped by to pick up some parts during the Bus Depot's first year, when I was still working out of my house. They were in their eighties and pulled up in a white '71 Westy that was just like one I used to own. They told me that after they retired they'd bought a large motorhome so they could travel the country, but found that it was too unwieldy to take up smaller roads. So they bought a small car to tow behind it, as people often do. But they found that sometimes they would travel a bit too far out of the way in the car, and not really want to drive all the way back to the motorhome by nightfall. So they sold the car and bought a '71 Westy to tow behind the motorhome, which allowed them to take a quick overnight trip and return back to the big motorhome the next day. But after a while, they decided that the motorhome was superfluous, as the Westy was much easier to drive, better on gas, and had everything they really needed. So they sold the motorhome.
