Silicone is evil stuff, get some in your eye and it's irritating plus
it contaminates everything it touches.

Vaseline is a perfectly good dielectric grease under the
circumstances, even though technically it's not grease.  It is
dielectric.  I bet the official dielectric grease isn't technically
grease (oil suspended in a metallic soap) either.

A very light film should do.
