I am a few years under 60 and have been driving VW vans for 35 years. I have also had various other cars during that time but always kept at least 1 VW Van for camping and hauling. Much of that time I have owned 2 or more, usually a camper and a hauler. I started with a split window bus but quickly moved up to bay windows. I eschewed Vanagons when they first came out as I thought they would never be as durable as my bay window buses. I have a different opinion now and a fleet to prove it.
