Subject: Re: How to simply clean out the water tank?

Keep in mind that your water system also includes the tubing the connects the tank to the sink.  I would flush the bleach laden water through the sink for a bit to clean out the lines. If you take off the access panel in the cubby hole (two screws) you may be able to see the tank and the lines and judge their cleanliness yourself. There is a screw-on access plug for the tank that can be removed for further inspection.  I normally store my tank empty and dry and always do the bleach rinse prior to a camping trip.  I didn't drink the tank water, but always used it to wash dishes/brush teeth so it must have been OK as I never got sick from it.
