Check your voltages starting from the aux battery and going to the
fridge and then to ground.  Is your LED panel measuring the aux
battery?   If it isn't that suggests a ground problem.  It would help
a lot if you can provide a schematic of how your aux battery is wired
and what's connected to it.

That's normal.  DC operation shifts the panel ground reference a bit,
causing it to believe that the thermocouple has gone negative as it
would if the flame were running.  Beefier wiring and relocating the
panel ground to the fridge gas valve would prevent this.
