Hi Jim,

I hope to be in that position some day :-)

Mine are 2.5 and 10mo right now. The older one is certainly very helpful, maybe too much right now ;-)

The whole point of having these vehicles is to get the kids outdoors and loving it. I spent my junior life doing tons of outdoor activities, many through the boyscouts.

I've always enjoyed backpacking, hiking, camping, and boating and hope that the girls will too. Or at least think it's a normal part of life since we've started so early.

But we also go up to the community garden and identify/eat vegetables and fruit. Discern the ripe from unripe, the good from the bad, and the various types of vegetables.

These seem to be things that will quickly go by the wayside if the current generation of parents (myself included) doesn't find value in them and doesn't bother to reteach our children what we've learned.

Cheers, Harry
