This is all a part of the "No matter the brand name on a product, you do not know who made it," trend in consumer goods. _Consumer Reports_ no longer provides manufacturer names for house brand appliances (Kenmore for example) because no matter whose name is on the front, the parts inside may have come from dozens of different makers.
