Jeff, I purchased my current Vanagon in 1997. Once it started raining or was very damp outside, it would start fine first thing in the morning, but if you went to the store, etc., after a short drive, it would not start up for at least 30 min. Mechanic at local TBA found the problem. I clean the contacts about once a year. I use CRC 6-26 (same stuff I use on HO-gauge model railroad to keep engines with DCC sound from stalling on dirty track. John |
