Got this resolved thanks to a suggestion from Ellen. I had to upgrade versions to get the option, though. Why can't they just leave stuff alone? This new version of Yahoo seems to have deleted its own Check All button, even though the Help section says that is what I should use. If it still exists I cannot find it or make it appear. I must now click every message individually and then click Delete, and that is sure to become tedious on the chattier days. Help! Thanks. Yahoo's own text on the subject: "To delete all of the messages currently showing in a folder, click the Check All link at the bottom of the list messages and then click the Delete button." Stephen |
