Is there a good Vanagon parts supplier on the West coast? I've always used the Bus Depot and like their website but its taking too long to get the parts and the shipping is high from Pennsylvania. I have the three-bolt flange on one side, just not on the muffler side. The muffler is at least 15 years old so its maybe not a bad thing to get a new one. I'll have to order the oxygen sensor. Its certainly expensive trying to get these vans through emissions. My problem is this van is my primary transportation and the registration has now expired so I cannot drive it (except to and from a repair shop or emissions station)  until its fixed. There is no local repair shop that I trust to work on it. Since it was installed by hack and slash, you are probably going to need a new connector pipe (before the cat) and a new muffler and tail pipe (after that cat).  Did you order a new oxygen sensor along with the cat?  That old one ain't coming out unless it has only been in there a month or two. So on the nearside I have the three-bolt flange from the previous cat and part of its pipe then a weld for the new cat pipe (which has no flange at either end just a round pipe), then the other end of the cat pipe is either welded directly to the muffler or some remnant of a previous cat pipe. There is no flange on that side to mount the Borsal cat. >What do I do now? Do I need a new muffler too? I'm not sure how this is all supposed to go together.
