The VW junkyard\repair place where I got my Eurovan seats had something like this as his yard dog.  I was a Syncro hardtop with all roof and body metal cut off right behind the front doors, with additional floor pan and a rear axle attached at the rear, and a tow boom in the middle of the flatbed floor. Last visit the guy said he was winding down his junk biz and someone offered him too much for it to refuse.  Nasty looking vehicle and definitely an "einzelstuck."
